Oakland at Chicago

Oakland has won four of five after defeating the White Sox 8-5 on Thursday when Shea Langeliers hit a three-run homer and a solo shot for the Athletics, who went ahead on Zack Gelof's two-run homer in the seventh. Chicago has lost nine of its past 12 games and has made some front-office changes during a miserable season as it is 28 games below .500 and 26-36 at home. Dylan Cease is not nearly the pitcher he has been the past couple seasons as he is 5-6 with a 4.50 ERA and 1.41 WHIP. Cease gave up five runs on eight hits in 4 2/3 innings against Colorado on Sunday and the White Sox have lost four of his past six starts. He has a 6.75 ERA in August while giving up 14 runs on 21 hits in 18 2/3 innings. Zach Neal will start a bullpen game for Oakland, which is getting good line value. Take the Athletics.
