Oakland at Chicago

The Oakland A's open a four-game series in Chicago tonight. Oakland is a woeful 36-91 on the season, on their way to one of the worst records ever. Like many bad teams, Oakland has had a couple of solid stretches during the season, and they come in at 3-4 in their last seven games. Oakland has been a lot more respectable when facing a team of .450 or less, where they are 11-16, but more importantly, they are 16-11 to the runline. The White Sox appeared to be turning the corner with their young talent, but they have really disappointed this year at 50-77. Chicago has more or less packed it in at 14-30 in their last 44 games. The A's actually have a slightly better record during that time frame, which will surprise most, and the A's have 24 losses by a single run this year. Make the play on Oakland, runline.
