One start does not a season make, and the oddsmakers are giving too much respect for the injury riddled Yankees and CC Sabathia. Sabathia pitched a nine inning shutout his last time out, but that was just his first win in just about a month. Brian Tallet for the Jays has a good track record vs. the Yankees with a 2.86 ERA against him - better than what Sabathia has done against the Jays. One other note, Tallet has a career ERA just .05 runs higher per game than Sabathia, so sometimes the name inflates the odds which is generally the case with the Yankees to place value on the other side. The Jays have also gone from being the second-worse team in baseball a year ago producing runs against left-hand pitching at 3.8 a game, to 5.3 a game this season. The value here is on Toronto and they get the call.
