The Rangers still feel they are a contender, and the addition of Cole Hamels yesterday certainly should bolster team confidence that management has certainly not thrown in the towel on the season. The Yankees Michael Pineda has dropped four of his last five decisions to see a once crisp ERA fall to 3.97. Pineda certainly has never solved the Rangers in his career as he has yet to record a win, and sits at 0-3 with a 5.04 ERA in his four career starts against them, and the Yanks are just 1-4 in his last five starts as a road favorite.
