New York at Texas

The Texas Rangers played themselves out of the race a long time ago. However, the Rangers appear to be reviving in recent play, including a win here last night against the suddenly struggling Yankees who have dropped three straight. Brandon McCarthy has helped patch up a depleted rotation, but his numbers on the season reflect that there certainly may be trouble ahead. The Yankees own just one win in their last five on the road. The Yankees have suffered in Texas over the years. They seemed to hold their own for awhile, but with a depleted roster those struggles have kicked back in again as the Bombers are just 2-5 here in their last seven. The Yankees are not what they used to be, while Texas seems to be finding some energy after a long struggle. Back the home team.
