This is always a big series when the Yankees and Mets square off gainst each other. The Mets broke through with a 5-1 win in the opener, and the Yankees have to be focused here, or their season could start to get away from them. The Mets have a problem, as their young talented pitching has started to accumulate too many innings. Noah Syndergaard was skipped a couple starts back, and has allowed a HR in every start but one since the end of July, and he may have a short leash in this one. Pineda gets the ball for the Yankees and has had interleague success where he owns a career 2.70 ERA. The Yanks have proven tough vs. winning teams at 38-17 in their last 55, and have fared well on the road at 10-4 in their last 14. Play on the Yankees to even the series.
