New York at Kansas City

It's a very small consolation, but New York has avoided finishing last in the AL East and have nothing much else to play for as it enters the final weekend of the season. Kansas City had won six in a row before getting swept by Detroit in a three-game series. Jordan Lyles has experienced a nightmare season although the Royals have won three of his past five starts and he pitched five shutout innings on two hits against Houston on Saturday. Carlos Rodon has been a bust for the Yankees with a 3-7 record and 5.74 ERA and he gave up five runs in 6 1/3 innings against Arizona on Sunday. New York has lost 10 of Rodon's 13 starts and  Lyles' teams actually have won five of his eight career starts against the Yankees. Play the Royals on the runline.
