The Yankees have been very slow-starting now for years as they have been below .500 in their first ten games for four straight seasons prior to 2009. In fact over the past three seasons in pre-All Star play, the Yankees are barely over .500 and have been unit-eaters. This season they are 3-2 having already lost games as -155 and -180 favorites. This is actually the first game in which they have been below a -155 favorite. Gil Meche goes for the Royals and he was virtually unhittable in his debut. He gave up just one run over seven innings. He's 11-4 the past two seasons vs. winning teams! Kansas City has the best chance to win when the game is expected to be low-scoring. The past two seasons they are 46-40 in games with a total under 9. We'll fade the overpriced Yanks here.
