Joba Chamberlain does not look like the pitcher with the same swagger as a starter as he did coming out of the pen blowing gas at 99 MPH. His fastball as a starter is topping out at 92 to 93 MPH and his control has been lacking, issuing nine free passes in his last two starts and he looks suddenly very hittable. His strikeout out of the pen were better than one per inning and his hits allowed well under his innings pitched, all those numbers have reversed as a starter. The Tigers will go with a young pitcher of their own in Rick Porcello, who has pitched mediocre at best in his three starts, but they were all on the road so he should settle down into a better effort at home. The Yankees have a long history of struggling against pitchers they haven't seen and Chamberlain has lost his luster as a starter. I will go with the Tigers on the runline in this one.
