New York at Boston

How often do you get Boston as a home underdog? This is what we are faced with today though as we have the veteran Wakefield facing young Wang of the Yankees. Although Wakefield is just 1-4 this year, he has pitched well as he has a 3.97 era but the era is slanted as he was shelled for 7 runs in his first game against Texas. Since then, he has yielded just 7 runs in over 28 innings in his last four outings. Wang on the other has been inconsistent this year as he pitches well one game and gets shelled the next. The Yankees are just 1-5 in Wang's last 6 starts against a winning team and the Red Sox are a solid 64-24 in their last 88 games at home against a right hander. Simply put, I like the Red Sox today due to Wakefield's solid consistency of late, Boston at home in this heated rivalry and Wang's inconsistency as the veteran bats of Boston I think will have their way early.
