The Yankees missed the playoffs for the first time in more than a decade. As a result, they went out and retooled their pitching staff. The one thing that the Bombers have been guilty of over the years is getting off to a bad start. The Yankees, over the last five seasons, have never been over .500 after their first 10 games, and have a combined mark of 24-26 during this span. They have been even worse on the runline, where they are just 18-32. CC Sabathia gets the ball for the Yankees, and everyone remembers how he dominated late in the season, but forgets he started 1-4 with a 7.76 ERA in April. The Orioles will finish last this season in the AL East because their starters are just not up to speed with the rest of the division. The Orioles one exception is Jeremy Guthrie, who pitched to a 3.63 ERA last season. Sabathia and the Yankees start slow, and with just 18 wins in their last 50 early-season runline games, I'll go with Baltimore on the runline today.
