It has left the Mets at 56-71, and they have also traded Duda, Bruce, and Granderson, so now even the lineup has been weakened. The Mets are just 9-20 in their last 29 games. They will face Gio Gonzalez today, and the Nationals have won each of his last five starts, including opponents combining to score just three total runs in his last four outings. The Mets are short on offense and pitching, and facing a red-hot Gonzalez, they are in trouble. Play on Washington.
