That is an intense, bitter rivalry, and it would not be surprising to see the Mets in a letdown situation here in Tampa Bay tonight vs. a very solid Rays team that has been sizzling of late. The Rays have won four straight, out-scoring opponents by a count of 29-10 and all on the road. They will come home where they play well as a confident team with momentum. The Mets hand the ball to Chris Young who may have his mind elsewhere as he has been on paternity leave, but will return to pitch tonight. Young has also made just one start in 13 months after surgery.
