Shaun Marcum now has the dubious distinction of having become the first pitcher in Mets history to fail to complete five innings in each of his first three starts. Marcum was rushed off the DL, and is much better than that. Going forward the poor numbers he has displayed will disappear. The Cardinals have had all good news with Miller on the mound, but his 1.58 ERA is not something likely to continue, so the line here is predicated on illusion, so I find some value here on the Mets. Sometimes when things look so good one way and so bad the other, the oddsmakers have to chalk up the line, and I believe that is the case here. Go with the Mets.
