The Mets’ offense dialed up some big numbers for awhile, but overall this team is missing three key pieces now in Reyes, Davis and Wright, and the numbers are going to decline from something that is sub-par to begin with. The Giants now have seven position players either on the DL or of questionable status for this one reducing an already suspect offense, to minor league status. Lincecum is dealing aces vs. winning teams leading to a 12-3 mark in his last 15 vs. a winning team failing to reach the total. The Mets’ injuries are taking their toll with seven of the last nine going UNDER. It should also be of note that when Tim Welke calls balls and strikes, the Mets are 22-3-1 to the UNDER as well.
