This may have looked like a bad price a few weeks ago, but it is now an attractive valued offer to play on the Padres. Perez was a 15 game winner last year, but he has been dreadful this season. He finished all of last season allowing five runs in a game just three times. He has now allowed five or more on five occasions and we are just hitting June. His command, always his downfall, has been at its worst walking 43 already. Left for dead with a horrific start, the Padres have become more of the team everyone expected to contend in the NL West, winning 8 of 12 including the first two here. This is a valued price at home so the Padres get the nod.
