The San Diego Padres have the best record in the entire NL, while the Mets are the worst road team in the NL. However, the oddsmakers are not treating this one as such, with the Padres a dog at home. It is obviously Johan Santana having the impact, but Clayton Richard has matched Santana pitch for pitch with their ERA's separated by 0.03 runs a game. So if the pitching numbers are equal and everything else points to San Diego, then we have a very live dog here. Santana may be a top pitcher, but the road wins are not in sight as the Mets are 3-9 in his last 12 road starts. I'll ride San Diego in this one.
