New York at San Diego

The NY Mets have played horrrible baseball of late. Last night they dropped balls, made errant throws and beat themselves once again. They are just 4-12 in their last 16 games and today's starter, Dillon Gee, has really hit the wall. Gee was among the ERA leaders in MLB in mid-June, but has really been brutal since pitching to a 5.64 ERA. Matt Latos had a great season a year ago, but started poorly this year, but has really turned things around in his last nine starts not allowing more than three runs in any of them. The Mets are just 1-6 in their last seven on the road and have won here just three times in their last 14 games. The Pods have been salvaging the third game in their last six series, all wins. I like San Diego in this one.
