San Diego broke out of its hitting slump with a 12-run outburst on Saturday as Franchy Cordero hit a three-run homer and Austin Hedges had five RBIs in a 12-2 win over the Mets. Rookie Christian Villanueva went 1-for-3 with a homer and leads leads all rookies with eight home runs. He also has a current 11-game hitting streak. New York now has lost six of its last 10 following a hot start to the season and sends Zack Wheeler to the mound. The right-hander did not get a decision his last outing at St. Louis as he allowed four runs on six hits in just four innings, although the Mets pulled out a 6-5 win.  New York is 2-8 its last 10 games against NL West teams and 1-7 in Wheeler's last eight starts versus the NL West. Also, the Mets have lost four of their last five against right-handed starters. Take the home underdog Padres.
