This New York offense is terrible, 22nd in baseball in runs scored and 25th in on base percentage. It won't help those numbers to face Cliff Lee (13-6, 2.97 ERA), who is 2-0 with a 2.14 ERA his last three starts, walking four and striking out 23. The Phillies are 11-3 as a favorite and 17-5 in Lee's last 22 home starts vs. a team with a losing record. New York goes with Carlos Torres, who has been good at home, but just awful on the road: 0-3 with a 4.64 ERA away from home. The Mets are 7-17 in their last 24 games as an underdog, and 2-12 in their last 14 games vs. a left-handed starter. Lee is 6-2 with a 2.40 ERA against the Mets, and the Phillies are 5-1 in Lee's last six against the Mets. Play the Phillies.
