New York once again used some late-inning heroics and defeated the Phillies 6-2 in Game 1 and the Mets now have scored 18 runs in the eighth and ninth innings their past six games since Monday's makeup doubleheader with Atlanta. They have all the momentum as the Mets head into Game 2 with Luis Severino on the mound. He has faced Philadelphia twice this year and allowed six runs in 12 innings with a .186 opponent batting average. Severino was 2-1 with a 3.64 ERA in September. New York's relievers gave up just a run on four hits in seven innings yesterday. The Phillies have lost five of their past six playoff games and they have lost six of nine overall since Sept. 21. New York has gone UNDER seven Sunday games in a row and it has won the past three meetings while allowing a total of six runs. Take the Mets and the UNDER.
