The Mets and the Phillies get their rivalry underway in Philly tonight. These teams are both considered to be big explosive offenses, but their games seldom materialize that way. They met a total of 18 times last year, and averaged just 9.05 runs a game. The 18 games featured just four that would have toppled the lofty total posted for tonight's game, and 11 of the 18 never made it over nine. The Phillies seem to play to high totals with a park deemed offensive-oriented, but they have gone 11-5-1 in their last 17 to the UNDER, with a posted total of 11 or higher. The Mets’ offense hasn't exactly been sizzling. After coming out of the gate averaging 5.2 runs a game in their first 10, they have now managed only four per game over their last 11. I'll go with the UNDER in this one.
