Sometimes it isn't about the teams’ records, it is about the teams and how they are playing in the moment. The Phillies humiliated the Mets in a three-game sweep at Shea, and at the time the Mets couldn't beat anyone. Now the Mets are off a double-header sweep and have won 7 of 8. Those eight games have seen the Mets outscore their opponents 38-16. Jorge Sosa has been a reliable starter for the Mets and they are 7-3 when he takes the mound and the Mets are winning with their arms right now. They have allowed just 16 runs in their last eight games and the offense is beginning to heat up again. J.A. Happ gets the start for the Phils, and he has not been so dominating at AAA Ottawa. Happ has pitched to a 4.02 ERA, and has just 1 win in 13 starts. Happ does not have great command as he has walked 34 in 62 innings and on the big-league level if your pitching from behind you’re gonna get hit hard. The Mets are looking to return the favor and sweep the Phils, and this should be win number three.
