New York pulled out a 7-6 win in 11 innings on Monday when Juan Lagares scored from second on Michael Conforto's grounder that bounced off first baseman Rhys Hoskins' glove. Steven Matz is the starter in tonight's game and he has allowed only three earned runs in 16 1/3 innings and the Mets have won all three of his appearances. Nick Pivetta has been a disaster so far this season, allowing 15 runs (14 earned) on 24 hits in only 13 1/3 innings. Philadelphia lost his last start (15-1) against Washington and the Phillies had to bail him out in his first two starts by scoring a combined 18 runs to get wins over Atlanta and Minnesota. New York has won nine of its last 12 road games and 16 of its last 21 versus right-handed starters dating to last season. The Phillies have lost nine of Pivetta's last 12 starts. Take the Mets.
