Once upon a time, Daisuke Matsuzaka was one of the most sought after Japanese pitchers of all. The Red Sox ended up signing him and he had one very strong year followed by a lot of mediocrity. He has not won more than three games since the 2010 season, but at the age of 34 the Mets took a flyer on him. The move is paying dividends as he is 3-0 with a stellar 2.81 ERA on the season. Miami has fallen apart and it appears that their young fragile players have lost confidence. They started 19-6 at home, but have been just 5-10 since and are in danger of falling below .500 for the first time since the close of April. The Mets are 7-1 in Matsuzaka's last eight starts, and Miami has stumbled in their last five as a favorite from -110 to -150 at 0-5. Ride with the Mets.
