The Miami Marlins snapped a nine-game losing streak with a rare 5-run offensive performance to beat the Mets last night in the series opener. This is still a team headed for 110+ losses, and getting to go against them at basically even odds is certainly a valued opportunity. Jose Fernandez was battered by Tampa Bay in his last outing, allowing 7 runs and did not survive the fourth inning. The Marlins enter this game at 14-38 in their last 52 vs. a right-handed pitcher, and 24-55 in their last 79 vs. a pitcher with a WHIP greater than 1.30. It's hard to justify Miami in this spot, so go with the Mets.
