The Tigers will open up the spring slate at home against the Mets. Jeremy Bonderman is expected to get the start, followed by Grilli, Miner Bozardo, Byrdak and Bautista should get in an inning. The Tigers regulars will get at least one at bat - except for Sheffield. The Mets are making the two-hour bus ride, sans many starters and will bring reserves Ryan Church, backup catchers Ramon Castro and Marlon Anderson. Pelfrey gets the start followed by Wise and Feliciano. Like the Tigers at home with the starters getting their feet wet, against what amounts to a minor-league contingent of Mets making the trip.
