The New York Mets have been a pleasant surprise to open the season. The Mets were projected to go nowhere this season, but have utilized some strong pitching to open the season at 15-11. It has been nearly two years since the Mets have been four games over .500. At 16-13, Colorado has been making some noise of their own. The apparently ageless Bartolo Colon has pitched one bad game, but has pitched to a 2.33 ERA in his other four starts, and has been zeroed-in. Those four games have seen him strike out 23, while walking just one batter. Juan Nicasio has not been the reason the Rockies are off to a good start as he has struggled to a 5.27 ERA, and the Rockies are a woeful 2-10 in his last 12 starts on regular four days rest. The Mets are 5-0 in their last five against a right-handed starter, and have taken the last four in this series. Back the Mets.
