New York can't afford any more losses if it wants to keep its long-shot playoff hopes alive after losing 3-2 on Saturday. The Mets still have won nine of their last 13 road games and are 24-9 the last 33 meetings with the Reds. Also, the Mets are 28-11 versus right-handed starters and 18-6 their last 24 road games versus righty starters. Cincinnati has lost five of Trevor Bauer's last seven starts, and the Reds are 9-19 their last 28 Sunday games. Marcus Stroman comes off two fine performances, and the Mets won both games as he gave up one run in 6 1/3 innings in an 11-1 win over Arizona and then he allowed no runs on four hits in seven innings at Colorado as the Mets won 6-1 on Tuesday.
