New York at Cincinnati

New York still has something to play for as it is 3 1/2 games out of a Wild Card spot while the Reds are doomed to fourth place in the NL Central. The Mets won the last two games of a series at Colorado and they have won eight of their last 11 road games. Also, the Mets are 23-8 the last 31 meetings with Cincinnati and they have won 27-of-37 versus right-handed starters and 20-of-27 against teams with losing records. Cincy was off yesterday and the Reds are 1-11 when following an off day and 2-6 in Luis Castillo's last eight starts when he has had at least six days rest. Jacob deGrom comes off seven shutout innings against the Dodgers and he owns a 2.61 ERA on the season. The right-hander is 5-1 with a 1.69 ERA and .187 opponent batting average since the All-Star break. Castillo has a 4.58 ERA since the break compared to 2.29 before. Play the Mets.
