The Cincinnati Reds had high hopes that they could contend in the NL Central, but they have never been able to get on track. They have all but eliminated themselves from the postseason as they now trail within the division by 11 games, and are 8 games back for the second Wild Card spot. It has been a stellar season for Johnny Cueto at 16-8, but he has disappointed when needed most, and has dropped his last two starts as a favorite. The Mets will go with Dillon Gee who has evened his record to 6-6 with a pair of quality starts and wins in his last two outings. Cueto has not been effective against the Mets where he has logged a 4.50 ERA in nine career starts against them. The Reds struggled when they had to win, and with no incentive now it's hard to see a concerted effort the rest of the way. Take the Mets.
