The New York Mets were handed a gift last night, and simply could not take advantage of it. The Mets trailed 4-3 in the top of the ninth, and with 2 outs and a man on second, an infield routine pop-up was dropped to allow the tying run to score. The Mets' bullpen proceded to cough up the game with a run scoring, walk-off single. It will be hard for them to pick up the pieces for this one, especially behind Shaun Marcum. Marcum has really struggled and enters at 0-9 on the season with a 5.76 ERA. The Mets have showed no life as a dog from +110 to +150 where they are a hapless 5-21 in their last 26. The White Sox have thrived in the role of an interleague favorite where they are 37-15 in their last 52. Play on the White Sox.
