Chicago goes for the sweep of the Mets after a 4-2 victory on Wednesday when Marcus Stroman held New York to two runs on four hits in eight innings. The Cubs have allowed a total of only six runs their past six games and will have Kyle Hendricks making his first appearance of the season following rehabilitation from a shoulder injury he suffered in 2022. Hendricks has a good history against the Mets with a 4-0 record and 2.10 ERA in five career starts against them. Carlos Carrasco has been disastrous so far for New York as he has been pummeled to the tune of 18 runs on 19 hits in only 18 2/3 innings this year, including five runs in five innings against Cleveland on Friday.
