The New York Mets don't like Wrigley Field, losing five in a row there. The Cubs have won the first two games of the series and are trying to win their seventh series in the Mets' last eight visits to Chicago. The Mets have slumped at the plate, scoring three or fewer runs in 11 of their last 14 games, including a 6-1 loss on Tuesday. They are also on an 8-1-1 run UNDER the total. The Mets are 2-5 in Matt Harveys' road starts, plus 35-11-5 UNDER the total against the NL Central. The Cubs are 14-2 when their starting pitchers record a quality start and 3-13 when they fail to do so. That works out fine today as the Cubs have reliable righty Jason Hammel (3-1, 3.52) on the mound and the Mets are 13-30 vs. a starter with a WHIP of less than 1.15. Cubs' rookie Kris Bryant has found his power stroke in the series, homering in consecutive games and in three of his last four contests. The Cubs are 8-1 when Hammels faces a team with a winning record and the UNDER is 3-0-1 when these teams meet. Go with Chicago and the game UNDER the total.
