Daniel Murphy has been the spark Chicago needed as he is 9-for-23 with two homers and a five-game hitting streak since coming over from the Nationals. He has rebounded to win his last two outings while allowing only one run in 11 2/3 innings. Lester is 14-5 with a 3.64 ERA overall this season, and in one appearance against New York, he held the Mets scoreless on two hits in seven innings.
