Atlanta has a 4.5 game lead over St. Louis for the wild card spot. They need to keep winning. The good news for the Braves is they are at home with Derek Lowe on the mound. Atlanta is just 7-12 on the road with Lowe on the mound, but 8-4 at home. The Mets are slumping, having produced just one win in their last nine games. Over that span, they are getting just 2.9 runs per game. Atlanta lacks offense too, but that shouldn't matter. The Mets are just 38-52 this season vs. NL teams batting .255 or worse. In post All Star play (second half of the season) in his career, Mets starter Chris Capuano is just 30-50. I like Lowe and the Braves here.
