The Mets have a long way to go to even the score in Atlanta where they have historically played bad, but a doubleheader sweep yesterday has to have them feeling pretty good about things. The Braves came out smoking hot, on their way to a 12-1 record, but have really faltered since at just a pedestrian 30-29. Kris Medlen could do no wrong a year ago finishing 10-1 with a 1.57 ERA. His fortunes have changed this season at 3-7 with a 3.09 ERA. The Braves have a losing record on the season when he takes the mound. The Mets are suddenly 6-2 in their last eight as a road dog, and 5-1 in their last six on the road vs. a winning team. The Braves are suddenly 1-5 in Medlen's last six starts when following a loss. Play this one on the Mets.
