The past has led many to see Johan Santana post at almost even money and become a no-brainer pick. That has changed with this Mets team that has been riddled with injuries, the latest Gary Sheffield, who will sit today joining Beltran, Reyes and Delgado. It is tough for a team to overcome the loss of four of the top bats the lineup possesses, especially in the National League. The impact has been huge as the Mets have been shutout in four of their last nine games and eight of their last 29. Those are numbers that even Santana can't overcome and the Mets have been just 3-5 in his last eight starts. The Braves are a hot team right now entering at 11-5 in their last 16 and held the opponent to three runs or less in six of the last eight. Atlanta has always been a chamber of horrors for the Mets, where they are 21-45 here in their last 66 and Santana has dropped each of his last four decisions to the Braves. I'm going with Atlanta here.
