The New York Mets were playing well enough to look to be a contender for at least a wildcard spot in the playoffs, but the wheels have come off and they have buried themselves from that conversation. New York is 2-13 over their last 15 games. Their pitching has been atrocious, and last night they were hammered for 11 runs, which now show 95 runs allowed in their last 15 games at 6.33 per contest. It hasn't been all big games either, as the depleted Mets’ staff has allowed 5 or more in 14 of the 15 games. They have trouble here as Arizona is averaging over 7 runs per game in their last 10, and Ian Kennedy has it going again, allowing just 3 runs in his last two starts. The Mets’ bats are being silenced by right-hand pitching where they are 1-10 in their last 11 doesn't help the cause. Play on Arizona.
