After a rough start Minnesota has turned things around, going 3-3 in their last six games, winning as a dog of +165, +210 and +155. It's the offense that has improved, with Joe Mauer (.316) and Justin Morneau (.271) healthy and hitting agian. The Twins are No. 6 in baseball in batting average, No. 12 in on-base percentage and No. 16 in slugging - all huge upgrades from a year ago. Tampa Bay is a great hitter's park and they come off a 4-1 loss here, but the Twins are 6-2 in Francisco Liriano's last eight starts after scoring 2 runs or less in their previous game. While Minnesota is playing better than many expected, Tampa Bay has been disappointing after that 4-1 start, losing six of their last 10. Jeff Niemann is their one of their weakest starters and is 0-2 with a 4.50 ERA. The Rays are also 1-5 in their last six games vs. a left-handed starter. Play the Twins.
