There was expected to be a much wider gap between these two teams, and by season's end I'm sure there will be. But right now they are playing on a similar level. The Twins are 6-16 to a very difficult early schedule, while the Angels are just 8-15. A bigger problem is six of the eight wins have come with Wilson or Weaver on the mound, for just two wins otherwise. The good news for the Twins is that neither of those is on the mound tonight. The Angels are continuing to be patient with Albert Pujols who closed April homerless, with just 4 RBI while hitting .217. Those numbers will certainly improve, but right now the Angels’ lineup is troubled. Liriano has had great success vs. the AL West where he is 8-2 in his last 10 starts. The Angels are getting battered in games with low totals at 6-20 in their last 26 with a total from 7 to 8.5. Play on Minnesota.
