Minnesota has won three of five, but the Twins will look to bounce back from Sunday's 9-7 loss to Houston after blowing a 7-1 lead. Simeon Woods Richardson will make his second start of the season, and he allowed two runs on five hits in four innings against the White Sox on Tuesday, and the Twins won 8-3. He faced Kansas City twice in 2024 and gave up four runs on six hits in 9 1/3 innings. Minnesota is 7-1 in Woods Richardson's past eight starts against teams with losing records. The Royals come off a 4-1 win over Baltimore, but they have yet to win two in a row this season. Michael Lorenzen allowed four runs (three earned) in 5 1/3 innings in a 5-0 loss to Milwaukee on Tuesday. Minnesota's bullpen has yet to record a save, but it still has a 2.84 ERA and a 1.18 WHIP.
