Minnesota at Houston

Minnesota played slightly above .500 ball most of the year before getting hot at the right time and clinching the AL Central and the Twins have won seven of their past nine games following their sweep of Toronto, which was held to one run in the two games. The Twins have won four of the six meetings with the Astros this year and they will be facing Justin Verlander, who allowed 16 earned runs on 33 hits in 39 innings in September and Houston has split his past six starts. Joe Ryan is the probable starter for Minnesota and he is 11-10 although with a decent WHIP of 1.17. Houston batters are just 11-for-53 for a .208 batting average with three homers against Ryan.
