Minnesota lost for the sixth time in nine games and fell to 12-15 on the road after Tuesday's 5-1 Houston win, as Alex Bregman and Chas McCormick each homered in the second inning to get things rolling for the Astros. Hunter Brown will be the starter tonight and he is 5-1 with a 1.20 WHIP for Houston, which has won his past three starts, including 5-2 over Oakland on Friday when he allowed only two runs on four hits with 10 strikeouts in seven innings. Brown has been especially tough at home where he has given up just seven earned runs and no homers in 22 innings. The Astros' bullpen is second in the majors with a 1.19 WHIP. Minnesota starter Louie Varland has a 5.17 ERA and .292 opponent batting average on the road. Houston has won eight of the past 11 meetings and it is 40-18 at home against teams with winning records dating to last season. Take the Astros as a Max Play.
