The perception of the Tigers to open the season was that they were going to win close to 100 games in the weak AL Central. Although this line says that is the team they have been, it hasn't been close. The Tigers allowed Minnesota 9 runs last night in a loss to fall below .500 once again. The already suspect bullpen has been working a heavy load, logging 13 innings in their last three games, and four of the last six starters have not completed more than five innings. The last three opponents scored 26 runs, and the blood bath continues for the Tigers. The Twins’ P.J. Walters allowed just 2 runs in his Minnesota debut in six innings, and is capable of keeping the Tigers in check, who are now 1-6 in their last seven after scoring 5 runs or more in their previous game. Play on Minnesota.
