Minnesota at Cleveland

Minnesota has vastly improved its offense from a year ago, ranked eighth in runs scored, ninth in on base percentage, and 12th in slugging. Ricky Nolasco was brought aboard to upgrade the pitching staff, a veteran who throws strikes, and the Twins pen has been solid.  Led by Brian Dozier's homer on the game's second pitch, Minnesota beat the Cleveland Indians 7-3 yesterday. Nolasco can give up homers, but this is not a home run hitting lineup the Indians have, 17th in runs scored, 20th in slugging. The road team is 4-1 in umpire Jerry Meals' last five Sunday games behind home plate, and the road team is 5-2 in his last seven games behind home plate with Cleveland. Play the Twins.
