Minnesota at Cleveland

This is the second game of the split doubleheader and Josh Winder will start for Minnesota and he has generally pitched well in eight appearances although he got roughed up his last outing against Oakland allowing five runs in 3 2/3 innings. Winder still has a 3.68 ERA and 1.23 WHIP in his rookie season and the Guardians will be facing him for the first time. Cleveland has gone into a tailspin after overachieving for most of the season and sitting in second place in the AL Central and it has lost five in a row and is only 16-14 at home coming into today's games. Konnor Pilkington is scheduled to start and he has allowed eight runs (six earned) his last 10 innings in two starts against Oakland and Colorado. In five appearances in night games, Pilkington has a 4.96 ERA compared to 1.69 in day games. Minnesota has won five of six at Cleveland through Monday's game. Take the Twins.
