Minnesota at Chicago

The Chicago White Sox broke out of a slump, and exploded for 7 first inning runs on their way to a 12-1 laugher in the opener. Minnesota has shown the ability and desire to make life tough for contenders, but they don't play with the same purpose vs. a team that is heading nowhere - and that showed last night. The White Sox have one goal left and that is to win at least four more games to avoid dropping 100 on the season. The Twins have not stood up behind Pelfrey as a dog where they are a woeful 3-13 in his last 16 starts in this role. Chicago has been geared up vs. losing teams at 6-1 in their last seven, and are 17-7 behind Quintana if he is off a quality start in his last outing. Go with the White Sox.
