The Chicago White Sox are feeling the heat of a playoffs drive, and have begun to play tight. They are just 2-7 in their last nine games and were destroyed by the Twins last night who hung an 18-spot on them. The Twins have exploded for 49 runs in their last seven games, averaging 7 per contest, and are not going to make things any easier here for the Pale Hose. Jake Peavy was part of the meltdown in their crucial series vs. the Tigers, as he allowed 6 runs in six innings. Peavy may now be hitting the wall, having thrown more innings already than any season since 2007. Peavy has certainly been both a positive and negative momentum pitcher. In this case he has been negative, as the White Sox are 0-7 when they give the ball to Peavy after they allowed 5 or more runs in their previous game. Play on Minnesota.
