Minnesota at Boston

The defending champion Boston Red Sox have certainly not looked like champions this season. This is a team that always has put out a dangerous and destructive lineup, but this year they are just not the same. Boston has scored 2 runs or less 23 times already on the season, which includes six of their last eight. Minnesota will send a rejuvenated Phil Hughes to the mound, who has benefitted greatly by getting out of the bright lights of the Big Apple where expectations were way too high. Hughes enters at 7-2 with a 3.17 ERA on the season. Jon Lester is just 7-7, and has struggled vs. Minnesota over his career where he is just 1-4 with a 4.74 ERA in nine career starts against them.
